Bernard Becker Medical Library provides educational offerings and support services around data management and sharing (DMS) to the Washington University School of Medicine (WashU Medicine) community. The Becker DMS team currently includes two senior support scientists, Seonyoung Kim and Xing Jian.

The Becker DMS team’s primary objective is to assist WashU Medicine researchers in effectively managing their data and complying with data sharing requirements set forth by funders and publishers.  

We offer a range of services to support this objective, including:

  • Webinars on data management and sharing policies and practices
  • Personalized consultations where you can receive tailored guidance and support
  • Assistance with creating data management and sharing plans
  • Guidance in identifying suitable domain-specific data repositories for your data and assistance with data submission to these repositories
  • Assistance with submitting data to the WUSM generalist institutional data repository, Digital Commons Data@Becker
  • Help with utilizing the WashU version of DMPTool, including live demos and feedback on DMS plans written using DMPTool templates

These services are designed to help researchers effectively manage and share their data throughout the research process.
